Building a strong brand CCV

Objective: Build strong brand, and perception of CCV as a responsible company

CSR and sustainability is one of CCV’s 3 brand value drivers. In order to build a strong brand Ha/Anna helped to build a communication plan for CSR and sustainability both internally and externally. This work included:

Internal:

  • Together with a Corporate Communication intern, we made an analysis about our CCV Inside channel, delivering an analytics report on employee engagement in the past 6 months with recommendations on content to increase/ improve the efficiency of this internal communications platform.

Collaborative capacity: This task marks my first collaboration with Selale - the fellow intern in Corporate Communication team. I took initiative in asking to perform this task after researching to find my favourite ones and discussing with Anna. Then, Selale and I worked under Amy's supervision - Corporate Communication specialist. With the analysis, Amy did not gave us any samples since she would like us to work in our creative way. Selale and I brainstormed, made the outline, decided the method and content, divided the workload and delivered the result. In the end, Amy was satisfied with our analysis. We are in progress of making a full strategy to improve our internal communication based on this result.

  • Coming CSR and sustainability legislation

Investigative capacity: The topic is really technical and heavy as Anna said.  However, I was curious enough to pick this task up. I remember I needed to read and look up a myriad of difficult terms. After several times of feedback/ comments from Anna and Daniela, I continued to research and collect suitable data and finalise the post. All information was suitably selected to match with CCV's context. My complete result was posted on CCV Inside as an official announcement to our colleagues.

  • Creating the company-wide post/ announcement about the CCV CO2 emission report 2022 and Ecovadis result 2023 on CCV Inside 

  • Report on competitors status and position regarding eco-labelling, circular payment and sustainability capabilities on product level. The report will be used to shape our circular payment strategy 2024.

  • Supported business proposal of LCA Analysis (Life Cycle Assessments) for 2024. Business proposal will now be up for a decision by management.

The complexity 

The complexity of these tasks is a bit more than the above. They required lots of wise research and creative ideas. To get these done, I needed to highly focus and brainstorm, instead of only extracting data and putting them in the correct order.

These tasks were much supported by my manager and other senior colleagues as well as the collaboration. In the end, the ownership is mine.

Their purposes are to strengthen the CCV brand as a responsible company. At the same time, we would like to have effective communication internally to make sure that everyone is at least aware of what the Marcom team/ Branding tem is putting effort into.

Whether I enjoyed working on the task or experienced stress

The most challenging task is about the coming CSR and sustainability legislation. It is a technical topic. For the rest, I had no difficulties and enjoyed them, feeling like I developed a lot from them.
